Whitney Hope established our first Camp Attitude in Southern California on August 4-10, 2002 at Forest Home at Rancho del Rey. The Camp is located in Oakview, CA, just 20 minutes west of Ventura, CA. It is designed exclusively for kids with disabilities and their families. The facilities are fully wheelchair accessible, so they too can experience the outdoors, nature and meet new friends in an atmosphere that will bring joy to their lives. What a wonderful week it was this year and we are expecting our Camp in 2003 to be even more exciting!
Camp dates will be announced in January 2003.
Camp will be open for disabled children/youth and their families. Each camper's entire week expense will be sponsored by individuals and corporations. This sponsorship will allow these families, some with bleak financial situations, to enjoy a camp experience especially designed for them! Please Note: Completing this application does not guarantee you a volunteer position
with the camp . . . if approved, you will receive an invitation to be
a volunteer. All applicants will be reviewed by a selection committee, who will make all invitation decisions.
