Saturday was another encouraging day for Dan! The doctor made a deal with him; if he removed the feeding tube, Dan had to promise to eat. Dan said, “It’s a deal!”

Dan also sat in his wheelchair for 3 hours. Candi said the physical therapist cancelled Dan’s session so they roamed the halls of the hospital and tracked him down!

The highlight of Dan’s day was seeing his girls! Candi’s parents brought Nicole and Dani to the hospital Saturday evening. They were tentative but warmed up quickly and sat on the bed with him. Candi’s parents were going to take Nicole and Dani to McDonalds for dinner and Dani said, “Daddy, do you want to go with us?” Dan said, “No, I can’t.” Dani responded, “We can go to Taco Bell instead” knowing that her dad preferred Taco Bell to McDonalds. They brought dinner back to Dan’s room and Dani sat on the bed and fed french fries to Dan. He could hardly keep up with her stuffing fries in his mouth!

Sunday Dan spent 4 hours and 45 minutes in his wheelchair! It was great to visit him and see him sitting up in bed watching football! Candi is thankful that she no longer has to translate Dan’s conversations but Dan is probably the most thankful! He can talk again and that makes Dan very happy!

Dan and Candi want to thank everyone for your continued prayers! It means so much to know that people all over the world are praying for a quick recovery.
