The surgeon, who performed Dan’s surgery, visited him on Wednesday. This was the first time he had seen Dan since December. He was VERY EXCITED about the progress Dan has made! He described Dan’s present condition as a miracle! The surgeon said there was no other way to describe what has happened; he didn’t really expect Dan to move again. It truly is a miracle, and it is because of the prayers of people all over the world!

In regards to the number of muscles Dan is able to use now, he has gained 5 points since January 8th! He has 29 functioning muscles! (29/60 - to go home and 29/100 – healthy body)

Saturday, January 20, Dan will be going out to lunch with the same group that went to the Outback Steak House. If you are planning to visit this weekend, please take note that he will be away from the hospital from 1:00pm-4:00pm that day.
