Dear Family and Friends,

More exciting news! Monday evening at dinner, Dan fed himself with a fork! Both Candi and Dan were very excited! The incredible progress he’s making is reason to give thanks to God!

On Tuesday in physical therapy, Dan stood for 44 minutes! 14 EXTRA minutes…that is almost ½ the time he stood on Friday (30 minutes) EXTRA.

Dan is just two days away from going home!! Although this is earlier than the doctors would like, Dan and Candi feel that being at home will be good for Dan. Unfortunately, even though the surroundings of home will be great, the cost of finishing physical therapy at home and additional medical costs will become Dan and Candi’s responsibility. Once Dan leaves the hospital, his medical expenses will no longer be covered by the insurance.

Many of you have been asking about helping Dan and Candi financially. The accounts have been set up now and those that would like to contribute can make checks out to: “Franklin Funds”. Please also designate in the memo section: “Gift for Dan Whitney”. Any unused money will be donated to a needy cause.

Thank you all for the love and support you have shown during this difficult time! Dan and Candi thank God for each one of you!
