Dear Friends and Family,
Prayers are being answered!!
Yesterday Dan saw Dr. Pitlyk, one of the surgeons, and although he did
not want to take any chances by removing the halo early, he was excited to
see the progress that Dan had made so far. Dr. Pitlyk told Dan, “Someone upstairs must be looking out for you!” He shared with Dan and Candi about another patient with the same injury,
and despite getting some movement back the day after his surgery, he never
progressed beyond that. Dan and
Candi do not want to risk any setbacks, so Dan will keep the halo on
until the scheduled removal date, March 13.
While they were at the hospital for Dan’s appointment, Dan and Candi
also visited their old friends. Candi
asked to please pray for Kees, one of the patients, who has had some setbacks
because of infections.
Another answer to prayer! A Bethany College
student started this morning as the health aide! He will be coming Monday through Friday mornings to relieve Candi from
some of the daily responsibilities.
Please continue to pray for Dan and Candi. One concern that remains at the top of our prayer list is the stress that
Dan and Candi are under watching the medical expenses accumulate daily.
