Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming care that I received while I was in the hospital.
I definitely had some great laughs while reading the cards and e-mails. Candi and I
appreciate each of you so much! I've healed from surgery and the next few weeks will
determine if my left side will get better. We will keep you posted.
Whitney Hope is still going strong. Our goals have been validated by other organizations
and in every case, people can't believe how far we've come in such a short period of time.
The next two months will be filled with speaking engagements and important meetings,
which will pave the way to Camp Attitude. Please, please, please don't think any gift
is too small. Your donation is going to make a difference in a life where everyday is
a struggle.

I have told many people that I am actually glad that I broke my neck. That may sound
morbid, but it's the truth. Before I broke my neck, I had managed to almost put my
life in shambles. I had my priorities completely mixed up and I was hurtful to many
people, including my family. I was making poor decisions and associating with the wrong
type of people. It felt like I was in a black hole with no way out. The snap of my
vertebrae stopped everything. It gave me time to look at who I had become and I didn't
like what I saw. One tiny step at a time, with the help of God, I began making positive
changes. Some of the changes came quickly and others have taken time. The result has
been peace restored to my life. Candi and I are best friends again and I take time
everyday to tell and show my girls how much I love them. I have a lot of people tell me
I look a whole lot happier. If you are feeling like you're in a black hole, don't let it
take breaking your neck to take time out and look at who you are. It might be painful,
but it's definitely worth it. A little secret, every once in a while I look backwards and
slip. But I'm work in progress and I'm learning more and more as I go. I'll say it
again, I'm glad I broke my neck.
God bless!
Dan
