The weekend of the 21st, we packed up the Durango and headed up to Donner Lake
for "Christmas in July". I have to say it was by far the best Christmas ever.
The only part that was a little tricky was explaining to my daughters how Santa
knew to come visit us in the summer. Nicole caught six trout and Dani was as cute
as ever. Candi and I talked about what we had been through the last seven months
and dreamed of what the next seven have in store for us.
I am still using a brace on my left ankle and I continue to get stronger. I am now
doing roughly 190 squats and sit-ups every other day. I am walking about a mile near
the house. I think Darrell, my Physical Therapist, likes to see me in pain. Seriously,
he has been an incredible P.T. and an even better friend.
Last Thursday, I spoke in Monterey, CA which was the official inauguration of Whitney Hope.
There are a lot of great things coming up and I am extremely excited to see how Whitney Hope
will help improve many lives. Every door that has been cracked has been blown wide open.
Please keep Candi and me in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on this new endeavor. A
special thank you to Mark Zier for believing in me and making a dream become reality.
Please keep your e-mails coming. You have no idea how much they mean to my family and me.
From time to time, I will ask if I can use your note of encouragement or special story on
the web site.
