Friends & family,
Today is 9 months to the date since my accident. Remember back in December when my
accident seemed so gigantic? Today it seems to almost be a particle of dust compared
to the lives that have been affected this last week. So many lives!
I can remember when I was a kid and someone told me "God cares as much for you as He
does for the birds". I can also remember thinking "God cares for 'birds' as much as
He cares for me?". I immediately ceased using my slingshot for target practice. Later
in life I learned what that person was really telling me was:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or
about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the
body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or
reap or stow away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much
more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Matthew: 25-27 (NIV)
This past week I found myself worrying a lot. My extremities went numb on Monday
(unknown reasons), Tuesday ripped my heart out of my chest, and on Wednesday I flipped
my desk chair and landed on my crutch and split my forehead open. But, all is well
once again!
PRAYER FOR MARSHALL
Not too long ago, I told you about my nephew Marshall. He shortly thereafter had
surgery, chemo, and now radiation. I spoke with him yesterday and he was really
hurting. He will find out this week if the cancer has returned. I will keep you
posted. Please pray for him. God Speed!
Dan
